Rutherford, while still living in California, feels the urge to see other countries quite early on. He spends some years living in Mexico – and later finds his adopted region in Southern Spain – but he is also constantly inspired by short trips and travels.

Den in Californien geborenen Rutherford zieht es schon früh in andere Länder. Er lebt einige Jahre in Mexico – findet später seine Wahlheimat in Südspanien – aber immer wieder inspirieren auch kürzere Trips und Reisen.
